Description
Our Pneumatic Marine Rubber Fender is made by an outer rubber, reinforcement synthetic-tyre-cord layer, and inner rubber, vulcanized together firmly. The outer rubber of Pneumatic Inflatable Rubber Fender is used to protect the cable and inner rubber from wear and other external forces. This rubber compound has sufficient tensile and tear resistance, which can withstand anticipated weather conditions and harsh service.
Besides, the reinforcement synthetic-tyre-cord layer is strong enough to maintain the internal air pressure of the fender and the inner rubber layer seals the pressurized air inside the fender. What's more, the fenders of diameter 2500mm and larger are equipped with safety valve for releasing excess internal pressure when they are over-compressed accidentally.
FLORESCENCE pneumatic rubber fenders feature a three-layer construction (outer rubber + synthetic tire-cord reinforcement + inner rubber), vulcanized together. They provide low surface pressure, high energy absorption (GEA), excellent buoyancy, and exceptional compressibility, making them ideal for ship-to-ship (STS) transfer, large tidal range docks, oil/LNG tankers, and naval applications.

Q1: What is the difference between pneumatic, floating, and solid fenders?
A:
- Pneumatic: Deflatable for transport, very high energy absorption – ideal for STS and harsh sea conditions; requires periodic pressure check.
- Floating: Also floats, but pneumatic construction provides higher energy absorption.
- Solid: Non-deflatable, heavy, lower energy absorption but no inflation maintenance needed.
Q2: How to choose between 0.05MPa and 0.08MPa initial pressure?
A: 0.05MPa gives lower reaction (softer) – suitable for pressure-sensitive vessels. 0.08MPa provides higher energy absorption – suitable for large tonnage and high impact energy scenarios. Selection can be based on calculated berthing energy.
Q3: What is the safety valve for on D≥2500mm models?
A: If the fender is accidentally over-compressed causing internal pressure to exceed design value, the safety valve automatically releases pressure – prevents bursting and improves safety.
Q4: Can non-standard sizes be customized? What is the maximum?
A: Yes. Standard range: diameter 500–4500mm, length 1000–12000mm. Any size within this range can be customized upon request.
Q5: How to transport and store the fender?
A: Deflate and fold before transport – greatly reduces volume, suitable for container or bulk cargo. For long-term storage, keep deflated, avoid direct sunlight, and keep away from sharp objects.
