Barge Rubber Docking Airbags

The airbag consists of an airbag's body and ends of iron pieces. The wall of airbag consists of rubber layer and synthetic-tire cord layer after the process of forming and vulcanization. At both ends of the airbag, there are two airbag mouths, one side which air can be pumped into or released from the airbag, another side is pull ring which can pull airbags when usage. The airbag mouths are made of metal materials and are closely combined with the body of the air bag into one.

Overview of ship airbag

A ship airbag consists of a main body and iron end fittings. The layer of the marine airbag is constructed from rubber layers and synthetic-fiber cord layers, which are formed and vulcanized to create a robust structure. At each end of the launching airbag, there are two openings: one serves as the inflation/deflation port for pumping air into or releasing it from the airbag, while the other features a pull ring used for handling the airbag during operations. These airbag ports are made of metal materials and are securely integrated with the airbag body through a unified design.

Marine airbags offer numerous advantages, including labor and time savings, reduced investment costs, and exceptional flexibility, portability, and reliability. As a result, ship launching systems utilizing rubber marine airbags have become widely adopted in shipyards around the world.

How It Works Using Marine Shipyard Airbags for Ship Launching and Pulling

1. Position the airbags beneath the vessel between the supporting blocks and inflate them to lift the vessel. Once the vessel is lifted, remove the blocks underneath it.

2. For lightweight vessels, a few airbags can fully lift the vessel in one step. Afterward, remove the blocks and place additional airbags for launching. 3. For heavy vessels, the lifting process occurs incrementally:

- Step 1: Place the marine airbags beneath the vessel.

- Step 2: Inflate a portion of the airbags. If the vessel lifts off the blocks, remove the blocks following the sequence of middle first, then sides.

- Step 3: Adjust the positions of the inflated rubber dock marine airbags accurately, as some may have been obstructed by the blocks during lifting.

- Step 4: Inflate additional airbags to continue lifting and removing the remaining blocks.

- Step 5: Repeat the inflation and block removal process until all blocks are removed. If certain blocks are difficult to remove, increase the airbag pressure to high levels. If high pressure is ineffective, deflate specific groups of airbags, reposition them, and repeat the process.

- Step 6: Once all blocks are removed, adjust the positions of the airbags.

- Step 7: Fine-tune the pressures of the marine airbags.

4. Check and adjust the pressures of all airbags. Ensure that the working height of each airbag, particularly those at the bow, is no less than 0.3 meters. If necessary, adjust the airbag pressure to increase its working height.

5. Secure the launching area and establish clear communication channels for the launch command.

6. When the water level reaches the desired level, cut the pulling ropes and release the vessel. If the launching water area is limited, use a winch to slowly guide the vessel into the water.

7. Retrieve the airbags after the launch operation is complete.
