How to repair ship airbag?
1.What's the pressure required when pressing the repair rubber to airbag? We will have to use our own jack and jig for this.
Jack need about 0.6MPa.
2.What are the dimension of the heating plates? Can I say the size of repair is limited to the heating plates?
Heating plate size is 20*30cm, the fixed size is not limited by our heating plate, you can repair 20*30cm area at one time, then you repair another 20*30cm
3.What is the maximum damage area which can be repaired using this heating plates?
For broken of 1 to 6ply, even puncture and hole size about 20cm (bigger size can be fixed too, but harder), all can fix by our machine, just if 6 layers are all punctured, it is much harder to fix. And after repaired, you need to put the fixed airbags in some place that bear less weight.
4.Please confirm that all cables are provided and also what sort of power supply and connection is required?
Yes, you can use the repair machine directly, 220V, this can be used in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc. (We sold to these countries).
5.Can I check, what is the usual practice when it comes to repair? If damages is on 1st or 2nd ply, do we have to repair immediately? Which ply and what size of damage onwards then we have to commence repair?
This is depend on your airbag size and layers. For very small scratch (about 5cm) of one layer, you can wait till future. If bigger than injure (10-20cm), you need to repair once you found it.
For multi-layers and bigger size injure, I suggest you repair immediately, for small size, you can wait.
Unsuitable repairing
In order to guarantee safety, the airbag with one of following is not suitable to be repaired::
The airbags have been used for over 8 years from the ex-factory date;
Due to violation of operating regulations seriously and working under exceeded working pressure, the airbag had burst;
The airbag has been damaged seriously, for instance the length of transverse crack more than 1/3 circumference, the length of longitudinal crack more than 2m or broken with cruciform crack;
Serious problems of aging, crumbling and sticky or rotten cord .
