Pneumatic Fender Maintenance Storage:
1.Cleaning of Surface
When the fender is put out of service for a long time , wash its surface with fresh water before putting it in to storage.
The oil dirty should be cleaned off with soapsuds.
2. Pressure Limitation
Reduce slightly the internal pressure ( 0.02~0.03Mpa ) before storing to eliminate any danger or excessive pressure caused by a rise in the atmospheric temperature.
Care should be taken, however, not to lower the pressure too much so that the original shape of the fender is not distorted.
3. Avoiding Direct Sunlight
Avoid exposing the fender to direct sunlight during storage, covering the fender with a canvas should prevent damage.
4. Avoiding Other Damage
* Avoid getting oil or grease on the fender during storage.
* Avoid welding or excessive heat near the fender.
* Clear the storage area of all sharp projections or pointed objects likely to damage the fender.
