Florescence Cleat Bollards (frequently designated as dock cleats) are compact, heavy-duty mooring anchorage points engineered to secure small to medium-sized commercial vessels, workboats, and private watercraft within marinas, ports, and industrial quays. Featuring a twin-horn geometric profile, these cast metal bollards facilitate rapid, secure rope-wrapping and line-belaying techniques. Manufactured from high-tensile cast steel or rugged ductile iron, they deliver verified mechanical shear resistance and exceptional structural stability under variable wind, wave, and hydrodynamic mooring tension.
Cleat Bollard is used in workboat berths and marines around the world. They are created with the same care, modern design methods and choice of materials as their larger cousins. Cast iron bollard and cast steel bollard are widely used around the world.
FEATURES
1. Size from 24 to 56 inches(610 to 1371mm)
2. Ideal for workboat berths and leisure boat marinas
3. Accept steep line angles

TYPICAL MATERIALS FOR BOLLARD
Spheroidal Graphite Iron and Cast Steel are commonest materials for bollards. Both can be used for various applications.
SG IRON
Spheroidal Graphite Iron has high resistance to corrosion and is economical choice per weight. SG Iron is more suitable for warmer environments. SG Iron bollards tend to weigh more due to a thicker cross-section. SG Iron can avoid coating damage and their surface allows for clearer cast-in details such as names and serial numbers
CAST STEEL
Cast steel copes better with cold climates. Minor repairs can be carried out by suitably qualified welders, and bollards may even be welded to existing steel structures. Regular inspection and maintenance may be required to ensure a long and trouble-free working life. Impact testing is strongly recommended for cold-weather applications.
Bollard Selecting
Bollard design relates many aspects and various factors shall be taken into account. Here are some common factors designers require to consider:
• Draft changes
• Water level changes
• Forces due to wind and currents
• Forces due to waves, swell and tides
• Forces due to ice (if required)
• The type, size and ang e of mooring lines
• Anchor type and mounting method
• Overload prevention
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: How do you choose between Ductile Iron and Cast Steel cleat bollards?
A:Ductile Iron (ASTM A536) offers excellent corrosion resistance in wet splash zones at a cost-effective price. Cast Steel (ASTM A27) provides higher tensile strength and impact toughness, making it ideal for low-temperature climates and heavy industrial quays.
Q2: What is the Safe Working Load (SWL) range for Florescence cleats?
A: We supply standardized and custom configurations ranging from 5 Tons to 50 Tons SWL, calculated based on vessel displacement, localized wind velocity, and tidal surge parameters.
Q3: Can these mooring cleats be configured for pre-existing anchor bolt patterns?
A: Yes. The base plate dimensions and bolt hole configurations (2, 4, or more slots) can be custom-cast or drilled to match existing engineering blueprints and anchor arrays on the concrete wharf.
Q4: Do your dock bollards support independent third-party certification?
A: Yes. Every manufacturing batch supports material traceability (MTC) and fully complies with international marine casting standards, verifiable by independent inspection agencies including SGS, BV, CCS, and LR
