Internal Structural Components of the Yokohama Type Fender

Outer Rubber Layer

This specialized external elastomer layer covers the entire outside of the marine fender protecting the reinforcing cord layers and the inner liner rubber from severe abrasion cutting puncture and heavy external mechanical forces.

Inner Rubber Layer

This consists of an engineered liner membrane that acts as a highly secure seal to lock the pressurized air inside the fender body. To ensure absolute airtightness our production team creates these inner rubber containers in advance and inflates them independently. Several days later we perform a secondary pressure test. Only the specific units that demonstrate zero pressure variation are approved for final assembly. This rigorous testing phase ensures every single fender shipped to our clients is fully airtight and structurally sound.

Synthetic Tyre Cord Reinforcement Layer

This heavy duty structural layer is meticulously fabricated using high tensile synthetic tyre cord fabric which effectively maintains the internal pneumatic pressure of the fender and evenly distributes extreme impact loads during vessel berthing.

Flange Opening and Air Valves

Heavy duty flange assemblies are securely mounted onto both ends of the fender body to accommodate the technical air valves. All Florescence flanges utilize an embedded welding methodology which provides exceptional structural stability and prevents air leakage or detachment under extreme pressure.

Initial Internal Pressure Settings

This refers to the specific pre regulated air pressure at which an uncompressed marine fender operates before absorbing external kinetic impacts.

Professional Packing and Loading Operations

Our experienced logistics teams utilize optimized packing and loading procedures to maximize shipping container space efficiency and safeguard product integrity during international ocean transit. Large scale pneumatic fenders can be deflated and tightly bound to ensure economical shipping arrangements for global maritime delivery while smaller units are securely packed to facilitate rapid deployment upon arrival at your shipyard or terminal.

FAQ

Q1: How do you ensure the quality of your marine fenders?
A: Every fender is produced under strict quality control procedures, from raw material inspection to final performance testing. We conduct comprehensive checks on rubber properties, dimensional accuracy, reaction force, and energy absorption before shipment.

Q2: What raw materials are used in your rubber fenders?
A: We use high-quality natural rubber and synthetic rubber compounds with excellent resistance to abrasion, aging, seawater corrosion, and UV exposure to ensure long service life in marine environments.

Q3: Can your fenders operate in extreme weather conditions?
A: Yes. Our marine fenders are designed to perform reliably under harsh environmental conditions, including high temperatures, low temperatures, strong waves, and heavy-duty port operations.

Q4: Do you provide installation accessories together with the fenders?
A: Yes. We can supply complete accessory packages, including chains, tires, shackles, swivels, mounting frames, UHMW-PE pads, anchor bolts, and other related hardware.

Q5: How long is the production lead time?
A: Production time depends on the product type, quantity, and customization requirements. Standard orders are usually completed within 15–30 working days after order confirmation.

Q6: Can you arrange third-party inspection before delivery?
A: Certainly. We welcome third-party inspections from organizations such as SGS, BV, CCS, ABS, and DNV to ensure product quality and compliance with project specifications.
