Product Description
Culvert rubber balloon, is made from high strength synthetic rubber and canvas cloth, by high temperature vulcanization.
It is popular used in China domestic, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania etc. projects, for bridge culvert concrete beam making. It plays in the role of inflatable core mold, inflatable mandrel, before concrete pre-casting, for concrete tubular forms.
Comparing with plastic or steel form work, culvert airbag is more portable, easy to handle. What's more, it is also more economical. At last, it is also easy to store, and is reusable for many times.

Technical Parameters of rubber balloon:
Product Selling Points (USPs)
High Reusability: Designed for durability, these balloons can be used 70 to 100 times, significantly reducing the cost per culvert compared to traditional timber or steel molds.
Rapid Installation & Removal: Inflation and deflation are fast and simple, saving up to 50% of labor time during the formwork stage.
Flexible Sizing: The balloon naturally adapts to different lengths and can be used for circular, oval, or rectangular culvert cross-sections.
Superior Surface Finish: The smooth rubber exterior leaves a high-quality finish on the internal concrete wall, improving water flow efficiency.
Easy Transportation: When deflated, the balloon is compact and lightweight, making it easy to move across difficult construction sites.

Product Applications
Cast-in-Place Culverts: Ideal for road drainage, irrigation channels, and highway culvert construction.
Concrete Pipe Manufacturing: Used in pre-cast factories to create hollow cores in concrete pipes and beams.
Bridge Construction: Forming hollow spaces in pre-stressed concrete girders to reduce weight.
Pipeline Maintenance: Used as a temporary "Pipe Plug" to block water flow during repair or inspection.
Municipal Engineering: Creating underground cable tunnels and sewage conduits.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. How long should I leave the balloon inflated?
The balloon should remain inflated until the concrete reaches its initial set. This usually takes 4 to 8 hours, depending on the concrete mix and temperature.
2. Can I use the balloon for a curved culvert?
Yes, because they are flexible, these balloons can follow a gentle radius or curve, which is impossible with traditional rigid molds.
3. What happens if the balloon gets a small puncture?
Each balloon comes with a cold-vulcanization repair kit. Small punctures can be patched on-site in minutes, much like a tire tube.
4. Is a release agent (oil) required before pouring concrete?
Yes. Applying a thin layer of water-soluble release agent or soapy water makes it much easier to pull the balloon out after the concrete cures.
5. How do I clean the balloon after use?
Simply wash the surface with water and a soft brush to remove any concrete residue before it hardens, then dry it before storage.
6. Does the balloon lose its shape under the pressure of concrete?
No. As long as the internal air pressure is maintained at the specified level, the balloon provides a stable, uniform mold.
7. What is the maximum diameter you can manufacture?
We can manufacture custom balloons up to 3000mm (3 meters) in diameter for large-scale drainage projects.
8. Can I use an ordinary air compressor for inflation?
Yes, any standard air compressor can be used. We provide the necessary pressure gauges and valve adapters.
